March 12 : Delhi 
Arrive Delhi. Welcome and assistance upon arrival at the airport. Later transfer
to the hotel Crowne Plaza Surya . Overnight at the hotel.
March 13 : Delhi
Morning free to relax and adjust to the time zone. Afternoon city tour of Old
and New Delhi.
Old Delhi - Visit Jamma Masque (1650 AD). Drive through fabled Chandni
Chowk (Silver Street) and visit Red Fort (1639 - 48 AD) built by builder of
Taj Mahal - Emperor Shahjehan and famous for its delicately carved inlaid and
marbled royal chambers. Raj Ghat where father of the nation memorial museum,
Firoz Shah Kotla (1354 AD) ruins of the fortress and the Ashok Pillar (300 BC).
New Delhi - Visit Humayun's Tomb (1565 AD) aptly called predecessor of
Taj Mahal. Drive past Safdarjung's Tomb (1753 AD), 72 meter high Qutub Minar
(12th Century AD) - One of the most perfect towers in the world, nearby amidst
the ruins of Quwate-Islam mosque stands the iron pillar which does not rust
and has stood the vagaries of weather for 1500 years. Orientation drive through
New Delhi viewing Embassy area (Diplomatic Enclave); Government Buildings (
1921 -30 AD), Central Secretariat, Parliament House, Visit India Gate (1921
Ad).
Evening optional LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW and then for dinner. Overnight at the

March 14: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast at hotel. drive to Jaipur (Apprx. 6 hours ) and reach by noon
time. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel Clarks. After noon city tour of Jaipur.
Jaipur -The pink city is a constant reminder of the Rajput culture, their hospitality,
and bravery. The City Palace a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture houses
a museum containing rare collection of arts manuscripts, miniature paintings,
armory of guns and swords more than 400 years old, costumes of former Maharaja
(King) and maharani (queen) of Jaipur. Nearby is Jantar Mantar (1728 Ad) a perfect
obserbvatory built by Maharaja Jaisingh with its 90 feet high sundial. Drive
past Hawa Mahal palace of wind, which is also a landmark of Jaipur. Leisurely
walk around Jaipur's vibrant and colorful bazaars rubbing shoulders with brightly
attired and smiling Rajasthanis. Overnight at the hotel.

March 15 : Jaipur
This morning after breakfast visit Amber Fort - you are transported back in
time today, riding like royalty a top elegantly draped and painted Elephants,
up into the high mountain Fortress of Amber.
Afternoon free to explore this Rajasthani Capital City ( The Pink City ) on
your own.Overnight at the hotel.

March 16 : Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Agra ( Apprx .5 hours )Via Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri popularly known as the ghost town was once the capital of the
Mughal Empire. Built by Emperor Akbar in honor of Saint Salim, it is said to
be replica of mosque at Mecca.
Upon arrival check-in at the hotel Clarks Shiraz. Afternoon city tour of Agra.
Visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (1653 AD). For majority of tourists visit to
India is incomplete without seeing the wonderful Taj Mahal. Moghul emperor Shahjehan
built this white marbled monument in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Semi precious stones are intricately inlaid into the marbles in various patterns
showing an impressive craftsmanship. Other important monument is Agra fort with
its Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque), Dewan-e-Aam, Dewan-e-Khas, octagonal tower Jehangir
Palace - famous for its Hindu Persian architectural style. (Taj Mahal closed

March 17: Agra - Jhansi - Orchha 
After breakfast proceed to the railway station for a superfast two hour train
to Jhansi. Upon arrival transfer by road to Orchha ( Apprx.1/2 hours ). Arrive
Orchha and check-in at the hotel The Orchha Resort.
Orchha : In the 16th and 17th centuries the Hindu Bundela rulers, who
were allies of the Moghuls, built up Orchha as a provincial capital on he banks
of the winding Betwa River. On the bank of the Betwa River next to Kanchana
Ghat, a short walk upstream from the town proper, are 14 sandstone Cenotaphs
built in honor of the former rulers.Upon arrival check-in at the hotel The Orchha

Afternoon you can also visit Chaturbhuj Temple, Ram Raja Temple, Dinman Hardaul's

March 18 :Orachha - Khajuraho
Morning at leisure. Afternoon drive to Khajuraho ( Apprx. 3 hours ). Upon arrival
check-in at the hotel Clarks Khajuraho.
Khajuraho was once a religious and political capital of the Chandela dynasty
who ruled Central India between 9th and 13th century. Its major tourist attractions
are the temples depicting erotic sculptures and figurines. The temples are divided
into eastern and Western temples and boasts of Chandela art. Overnight at the
hotel.
March 19: Khajuraho
Morning visit the Eastern & Western Group of temples. Afternoon at leisure.

March 20: Khajuraho - Gwalior
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Gwalior ( Apprx. 7 hours )which traces
its history back to a legend. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel Usha Kiran
Palace .
Gwalior was always an important city because of its strategic location on the
Agra-Deccan main route. Hence many dynasties tried to claim this land including
the mighty Mughals and Marathas. Before them, the city was the stronghold of
the Huns from Central Asia, the Kachhwaha Rajputs, the Pratihars, the Slave
Dynasty of Delhi Sultanate, and the Tomars-of whom the most important king was
Raja Man Singh (1486-1517). The Marathas under Madhao Rao Scindia, the last
dynasty to rule the city before Independence, restored Gwalior to its former
glory. Overnight at the hotel.
March 21: Gwalior 
Full day city tour visit the huge Gwalior Fort, Man Mandir Palace,Sas- Bahu
temples, Tansen's Tomb,Scindia Museum ,Jai Vilas Palace,Tomb of Mohammad Ghaus.

March 22:Gwalior - Delhi
Morning free to explore the city on your own. Evening transfer to railway station
to board your Shatabdi Express train to Delhi. Upon arrival transfer to the
hotel Nikko . Overnight at the hotel.
March 23 :Delhi - Onward Destination
